You have probably heard there are a lot of mistakes that you can make in creating and using a vision board. Most of them are easily fixed just by tweaking your board a little bit and won’t be fatal mistakes. But there is one step in the vision board process that is the most common reason vision boards fail and no matter what you do with your images, pictures or anything else your vision board just won’t ever work. And that step is planning.
You might be surprised that there is actually a lot of planning involved in vision board creation before you even start looking at images and it is super important. Why? Because if you don’t have a clear vision before you start selecting images and making a vision board you won’t make something that helps you achieve a life you are aching for, all you will have is a bunch of pretty pictures. This is the reason that vision boards fail. We have to go right back to the basics and do a complete overhaul of the plan you have for your life. Not all goals are created equal and some simply are just not a good fit for a vision board.
Vision boards are powerful things, but if the images that you put on them aren’t going to give you the life you want, then it was all for nothing.
Most often I hear about how people just don’t work through what to put on their board well enough, so their boards end up meaning very little and don’t connect with them on any kind of level. Your board needs to be emotionally charged to the things you want in your life.
So for that reason I always stress planning, planning and more planning to my students. It is completely undervalued by most people but so, so powerful.
This is honestly my favourite part of creating vision boards (except maybe seeing the end result) and I really love the planning process for everything in life. In fact, I’m a little bit obsessed with sitting down and really working through someone’s goals, dreams and aspirations and using my systems to turn them into a master list of goals and then images that we can actually work with.
Everyone has so many ideas flying around their head that it can be really hard to separate the ones that mean something to us, and the ones that will never bring us happiness. And since this is step one for vision board creation we can’t afford to get it wrong!
Which is why I really think everyone needs a guide for serious goal setting. If you want a vision board that is going to help you create the life you really want and need then you have to get this part right. You need to know, without any hesitation, what you are working towards so that you can work wholeheartedly and with such clarity everyday that you literally have no choice but to succeed.
And I want to give you that extra guidance in these early stages because it is absolutely the most crucial part of your vision board journey.
The FREE Get Clear Challenge
I’m running a challenge to show you just how easy getting super clear on your vision can be if you have the steps to follow. It’s starting next Monday, March 27th and we are ending the week with a free live masterclass on Friday morning (Australia)/Thursday evening (US/UK).
In the challenge you will get an email and exercise each day of the 5 days with guidance and direction. I’ll also be in the Facebook group answering any questions you have and helping you out in any way I can. In this challenge, we start at the very beginning by figuring out exactly where you are now, what you need to change and add to your life and finish by designing your “perfect” day. The free and live masterclass is going to teach you how to turn that perfect day into a vision board. It’s going to be amazing! I’m so excited and I can’t wait to see what you end up creating in these 5 days.
I really hope you will join me for this challenge, sign up here >>
Have a great weekend, to your success,
